NASHVILLE — Screamify has launched MICRO HORRORS™, an original slate of vertical, episodic horror built for phones. The indie streamer calls it the first dedicated vertical horror slate from a horror-only service.

The slate opens with three titles: AUTONOMOUS, a driverless-rideshare nightmare directed by Kyle Valle and starring Erin Áine and Domenic Jungling (a Big Squid Productions series); GAME NIGHT: SURVIVE THE SLASHER, from writer-director Trent Duncan (Venture Court Productions), starring Connor Sherman, Erin Taylor, Aubrey Nicole Plummer, Morgan Flanagan, and Cheyenne Autumn Hess, where a friendly evening of party games turns lethal; and SCARY MARY, a modern take on the mirror legend. New episodes are committed weekly.

The company marked the launch Saturday with a red-carpet premiere at Sidecar Bar in downtown Nashville. The buyout drew 80 guests — slate cast and crew, area filmmakers and horror creators.

"Micro Horrors is horror engineered for the pocket — full stories, real scares, under three minutes, shot vertical," a Screamify representative said.

Episodes are streaming now on the Screamify app (iOS and Android) and at screamify.com. Press photos from the premiere are cleared for editorial use with credit and available for download here. This is a developing story.
